This is a great idea for kids of all ages to outline their artwork in chalk – choose the right time of day and let the shadow of shapes fall on the pavement or surface they are chalking.
For example, in this image the child has plastic dinosaurs to trace in chalk, and you could also supply sun shapes, trees, a cross, star (for Christmas chalking!) – or any shape that kids can then trace, then fill in with the same or other colour chalk.
